2004 Pinot Grigio

A great, well-balanced Pinot to enjoy sipping while savoring the light foods of a fall or summer picnic.

This Italian grape is a lighter mutation of Pinot Noir. A well-balanced, dry white with intriguing scents of pear and melon and a smooth, soft finish

This clean and crisp Pinot Grigio is best served chilled. It pairs well with light flavored foods such as fresh fruit and cheeses. A wonderful wine for summertime gatherings with lots of finger foods

The Clarksburg appellation is known for producing top quality Pinot Grigio, mainly due to its ideal climate for that varietal. As the Sacramento Valley heats up during the day, it pulls in the cool maritime breeze from the bay, which allows warm summer days and cool evenings. We take special care in all aspects of our grape growing from deficit irrigation, to precise pruning techniques to handpicking at harvest.

Grapes were picked in the morning and gently pressed. Juice was cold settled and fermented cold. To preserve the crisp clean fruit character, the wine was stored cold in stainless steel tanks and did not undergo a secondary malo-lactic fermentation.
